There are always dangers professional sportsmen and women face but some sports such as ice hockey are more dangerous than others.

And sometimes these dangers can result in bad injuries - Vegas Golden Knights' Paul Stastny learning the hard way last weekend.

Stastny was forced off after taking a puck to the face during an NHL clash against Montreal Canadiens.

There was blood everywhere and he unsurprisingly lost lost a couple of teeth.

And what made it worse was Stastny was filmed picking up his teeth before skating out of the rink.

Joel Armia, who was holding the puck that struck Stastny in the mouth, was very apologetic afterwards.

To make matters worse for Stastny, his side lost 5-4 to the Canadiens in overtime.

Knights are currently fourth in the NHL's Western Conference Pacific Division. They next face Boston Bruins on Wednesday.
