Fats Domino was an American pianist, singer, and songwriter. He was a rock and roll pioneer. He was nicknamed “Fats” and “The Fat Man.”

He was the son of Marie-Donatille (Gros) and Antoine Caliste Domino. Fats was married to Rosemary Hall, with whom he had eight children.

Fats’s paternal grandfather was named Aristide Domino (the son of Antoine Domineaux and Mary D.). Aristide was born in Louisiana.

Fats’s paternal grandmother was named Marie-Carmelite Brown. Marie-Carmelite was born in Louisiana or Maryland.
